Abstract
Developing a mobile wallet can be a difficult proposition, let alone developing
one that is future proof; but through a combination of correct methodologies,
smart decisions and good partners, the development can reach a successful
conclusion bringing long lasting value to the wallet provider and its customers.
Using the Helixion developed Swisscom Tapit application, which is due to
launch Q4 this year, as a case study; this paper explores what is required from a
technical and commercial perspective, to plan, develop and rollout a mobile
wallet that is able to meet both current and future demands as the market
scales and the customer base increases from the thousands to the millions.
