Deutsche Telekom partners with Konica Minolta to widen smart glasses use

Deutsche Telekom has signed a memorandum of understanding with Konica Minolta to be part of its „Alliance Program”, according to Telecompaper. Through the partnership, Telekom provides its mobile network services and Konica Minolta its wearable augmented reality (AR) products AIRe Lens for industrial applications. The goal is to enable the use of smart glasses with mobile connectivity in remote applications. For example, the glasses can be used on public mobile networks or industrial campus networks based on LTE and 5G NR.

Konica Minolta has started the so-called Alliance Program to build partnerships with technology companies active globally, and identifying synergies to develop together new products, services and systems, according to Telecompaper.
