Deutsche Telekom said that its central research and innovation unit, T-Labs, has established the first professorship for Software Engineering with a specialization in Blockchain at CODE University of Applied Sciences, according to Telecompaper. The professorship covers research on ledger technologies, the token economy and the decentralized web. Peter Ruppel, who is specialized in distributed systems, decentralized applications and data science, will hold the position of Professor for Software Engineering.
The professorship is the result of the partnership between T-Labs and CODE announced earlier this year. CODE is a private, state accredited university of applied sciences in Berlin, according to Telecompaper.
