Bulgarian operator Vivacom launched a new edition of its 'Vivacom Technical Academy' which takes place for the eighth consecutive year, according Telecompaper. The project is jointly conducted with the Faculty of Telecommunications of the Technical University of Sofia. During the programme, lecturers from the university and telecom specialists conduct practice-oriented courses that are not included in the regular student training plan.
This year's programme also features a new 'Fundamentals of programming' course that will provide students with practical guidance in the field of software development and mobile applications. Young people will not only build on their knowledge and skills, but will also get acquainted with the work in the telecom industry. This year, students will go through highly specialised technology courses covering project management, technical English, product and service development, legal framework and telecommunication regulation, business communications and presentation skills development. The Technical Academy is aimed at students from the 3rd and 4th years of study of the Technical University. To become part of it, candidates passed tests and interviews and demonstrated their knowledge and motivation to continue their development in the telecommunications industry.
