Romania's average download speed over fixed internet connections rose to 109 Mbps countrywide from 75.07 Mbps a year ago in the first half, according to statistics on the quality of the internet access service in Romania generated by telecommunications authority Ancom’s application for measuring the internet service quality, Netograf.ro, according Telecompaper. At the same time, the average mobile data download speed dropped to 19.99 Mbps from 27.72 Mbps. The decrease is explained by the growing number of tests performed by end-users in this segment and the increasing data traffic on mobile networks. The statistics take into account 135,000 tests.
