Microsoft announced a new bundled package of Windows and Office services for business customers. Unveiled at the company's 'Inspire' event for partners and launching in early August, the Microsoft 365 package brings together Office 365, Windows 10 and Enterprise Mobility + Security services, according Telecompaper. It will be available in two variants: Microsoft 365 Enterprise for large organisations and Microsoft 365 Business for organisations with up to 300 staff. The Enterprise package was previously offered under the name 'Secure Productive Enterprise', which will be withdrawn. Microsoft said the number of seats for the previous offer grew by 'triple digits' last year. The Business package will debut 02 August in public preview and become generally available on a worldwide basis in the autumn, priced at USD 20 per user, per month.
Microsoft said the new packages are designed "to empower employees to be creative and work together, securely". It also announced the addition of three new applications to Office 365 Premium and Microsoft 365 Business: Microsoft Connections for email marketing, Microsoft Listings to publish business information on top sites, and Microsoft Invoicing to create professional invoices. In addition, the company's mileage tracking app, MileIQ, is now included with Office 365 Business Premium.
Microsoft also announced at the event new ways to help partners sell its Azure public cloud services. A pilot co-sell programme last year helped close more than USD 1 billion in annual contract value for Azure partners in six months. This programme will be accelerated with additional investment o boost Azure co-sell in the next 12 months. In addition, Microsoft is creating a dedicated Channel Manager role to focus on supporting partners' go-to-market efforts and the co-sell project. In total, it will spend USD 250 million on the Azure investments.
