HBO has launched its HBO Go service as a standalone subscription in Hungary, Romania, the Cezch Republic and Slovakia. The online service was already available via pay-TV providers with its premium channels, and customers can now subscribe without the need for a TV subscription, according Telecompaper. 
HBO Go is a streaming service available on computers, smartphones, game consoles, smart TVs, Apple TV and Chromecast. The service is offered free the first month and then costs RON 19.99 in Romania, HUF 1,990 in Hungary, CZL 199 in Czech republic and SKK 199 in Slovakia. It offers customers access to over 4,000 movies and episodes from HBO programmes. 
The standalone streaming service is already available in the US and Latin America.
