Avenir Telecom Romania, a retail partner of Telekom Romania, will open stores inside a number of malls through which it will market exclusively mobile phones and accessories under the Energizer brand, writes local paper Ziarul Financiar citing Avenir Telecom's director of operations, Costin Soare (photo), according Telecompaper. The stores will be placed in the galleries of the big shopping centres in Bucharest and other cities, Soare said. According to Avenir's estimates, Romania's smartphone market will continue to grow in 2018 at the previous year's growth pace, but the average value of the sold products will grow slower than in 2017. The growth rate will be smaller than the rate seen in 2017.
The company already owns a network of more than 50 retail telecom shops under the brand Internity, which offer exclusively services of Telekom Romania group.
The company estimates that offers recently launched by the Telekom group, including those that include unlimited mobile internet, will help boost its sales. In 2018, the company will focus on the company's both business lines, retail and distribution, Soare said. When it comes to distribution, the company's priority will be to increase the sales volumes of Energizer mobile phones and accessories as well as these products' presence.
Avenir Telecom had a turnover of RON 56 million (over EUR 12 million) in 2016.
